• Deep into ultrarunning as a long-term practice, not chasing peak fitness
• Prioritizing durability, consistency, and recovery over big weeks
• Using races as structure, not identity

• In a very full family season — kids’ schedules influence many decisions
• Optimizing for presence and energy more than productivity
